NIKKI
Nikki is a Diva daughter from the 2002 litter.  She has a marvelously large, round eye that I wish all my Whippets would have.  At her first show, she earned her first bench major from the puppy 6-9 month class and went on to receive a number of best of breed wins from here or the Bred-By Exhibitor class. She finished her bench title with ease, becoming our second home-bred champion only a month or so after our first, Phisher.  Nikki has never been a real fan of showing and returns to the AKC ring only for special events.  In 2008, she earned her UKC Championship and has two of five needed wins to complete her Grand Champion title.  We hope to accomplish this goal in 2009.

An impressive athlete, Nikki is still a competitive runner at nearly seven years of age in both ASFA Lure Coursing and CWA Racing.  In 2008, she placed second in the Field Champion stake at the ASFA Region IV Invitational weekend and earned her CWA Dual Purpose Champion title in style.  Nikki also received recognition for her form, not just function, as the 2008 #2 ranked CWA conformation hound.  We are very proud of our gentlewoman.   

 


CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • 2009  Nikki is bred to Havoc (Can/Am Ch Brushwood Xtra by Design, JC).  Two male puppies born June 16, 2009.  See IMa Litters for more information
     
  • 2008 First Texas Whippet to earn the CWA Title of Racing Proficiency and Dual Purpose Championship titles
     
  • 2008 Nikki is CWA National Conformation Ranked #2 for the year
     
  • 2008 Nikki finishes her UKC Champion title and has two Reserve Champion of Champion wins from just three shows
     
  • 2007 earns an ASFA Region IV Invitational Field Champion Stake 2nd place at five years of age
     
  • 2005 Earns her ASFA Lure Courser of Merit title in under six months without traveling out of state for competition
     
  • 2004  Nikki wins an ASFA lure coursing Best in Field in Ferris, TX
     
  • 2003 Finishes her ASFA Field Championship in under seven trials as well as her AKC bench title with three majors and multiple breed wins
     
  • 2002 Earns a four point major at her very first point-awarding show under judge William Paul Shelton
     
  • 2002 Awarded Best in Match by judge Alan Arthur of Stargazer Whippets
