Souris, short for petite souris or "little mouse", is from Diva's repeat litter
whelped in 2006. Her name suits her well as the litter's smallest but most
determined puppy. In her first year of competitive
performance, she earned her AKC Junior Courser title, four legs
toward her CWA TRP title and certified to run in ASFA
competition. A injury in January 2008, however, kept Souris out
of more trials than we had planned. Off of work from
January to May, Souris resumed coursing with resounding grace,
earning a four point major/Best of Breed at her very first AKC
trial. After a long summer hiatus and three more trials,
Souris completed her AKC Field Championship title, and with
this, her mother's AWC Register of Merit title. Way to go,
little mouse. In
2008, Souris earned her UKC Championship and has two wins toward
her Grand Champion title. She will continue to show UKC,
course ASFA and run CWA. At some time, she may move to AKC
conformation but not until her sister, Semele, has completed her
bench title. We are especially please with both these
girls and look forward to continued success.
